  A well run friendly place and very much a pub for locals. For 12 months of the year there is an open fire to greet folk. The owner, Alan,is a fine host who will cater to all your drinking needs though at the moment (May 2009) the pub does not serve food. The locals are a great mix coming from the islands, Shetland, England, Scotland and some from the continent.
  The 5 star rating is for hospitality and a genuine sense of warmth you can get from this pub. Whether you are prince or pauper don't expect to be treated in any other way than anyone else ... 'cos you wont

  I had a night here in 1999 ,during a" live aboard" dive trip,
  Looking at the picture ,it must have had a lick of paint since then,
  (it looked more like the Adams family house back then!!)
  They put some chilli and chips on for us , which attracted a lot of local interest as the night wore on,
  however it was a warm and friedly enough place ,even though we were English,
  If you are looking for Michelin stars try the car park,,,
  if not, you wont be too disappointed.
  some very strange locals get in there as i recall,
  two old girls in particular made it a night to remember,,but thats another story ,,,
